Mission

Description: A social service organization that collects and redistributes a wide variety of materials, both new and used, in order to ease the effects of poverty on families in the South Bronx.

In addition to a free clothing program and community thrift store, Catholic Charities operates for-profit ventures, such as an antique store, that support community services which help families become more self-sufficient. These on-site social services include eviction prevention and other housing issues assistance, benefits screening and education, financial literacy classes, information and referrals, and direct case management.
