Mission

Description: Build It Green! NYC is a retail outlet that sells a wide variety of salvaged and surplus building materials at half or below their original retail price.

Build It Green! NYC is sponsored by the Community Environmental Center and all proceeds help support Solar 1, NYC’s first solar-powered green energy, arts, and education center.

Type of organization: Nonprofit



Types of Materials:

Building Materials, Architectural Salvage, Large Appliances/Electronics, and Industrial Surplus (Textiles/Paper/Etc.)

Materials Accepted From:

General public, businesses, and institutions.
