Per Scholas: Program Coordinator, IT Career Pathways Program

Per Scholas, which works to break the poverty cycle by providing technology, training, and job placement services to low-income communities, is hiring a Program Coordinator for their soon-to-launch high school IT Career Pathways Program. The program will work to bridge the “technology learning gap” that is crucial to address by the time students reach adulthood. Working in partnership with the New York City Department of Small Business Services and The New School, the program will help high school juniors and seniors with their comprehension, knowledge, and experience with the IT industry. By offering this program before students graduate, they will be better prepared to join the IT workforce and secure meaningful internships and jobs.
The Program Coordinator position requires relationship management skills, and experience building strong collaborations among corporate partners and employers, working with students in mentoring programs, and applying information technology to educational programs. Excellent communications skills are a must, both written and verbal. For a complete list of qualifications and responsibilities, and to learn how to apply, click here.
