LESEC Opens New E-Waste Warehouse in Gowanus
January 23, 2012
The Lower East Side Ecology Center (LESEC) has done it again by finding even more ways to make it easy for NYC residents to responsibly dispose of working and non-working electronics. Since 2003 the LESEC has been holding e-waste collection events all over the City and will continue to do so throughout the year. In addition to that, residents can now drop off their electronics five days a week at the new LESEC E-waste Warehouse.
Let the staff at LESEC know if your equipment is still working and they will try to see that it gets a second life. But whether your old electronics get reused or responsibly recycled, the LESEC guarantees data security.
If you were lucky enough to get a serious gadget upgrade this holiday season then let the Lower East Side Ecology Center help ensure that your old gadgets don’t end up in the waste stream. Take a look at the materials that are accepted, learn more about the new E-Waste Warehouse and check out their calendar for a list of upcoming e-waste collection events.
