The NYC Materials Exchange Development Program (MEDP) is working to strengthen NYC’s materials exchange and reuse sector by connecting, supporting and promoting NYC's reuse organizations.

MEDP will achieve these goals by 1) acting as a networking conduit that builds relationships between materials exchange organizations; 2) providing capacity building training that strengthens individual organizations; and 3) creating information resources that increase public awareness and access to these innovative waste prevention services.

The NYC Materials Exchange Development Program is a program of the Department of Civil Engineering at the Grove School of Engineering of City College of New York. MEDP’s activities are funded by the NYC Department of Sanitation’s Bureau of Waste Prevention, Reuse and Recycling.
